ERLE KYLLINGMARK
ERLE KYLLINGMARK
(b. 1974) is a Norwegian photographic artist whose work in still and moving images has been showcased in major exhibitions across Norway and internationally. Since completing her BA in photography at the London College of Printing in 1999, she has engaged in editorial photography, documentary filmmaking, and video installation.
Her award-nominated documentary, Life is Goddamn Wonderful, and video installations for The Norwegian Opera & Ballet established her as a versatile visual artist.
Her recent projects focus on exhibitions in prominent galleries and institutions, including her 2024 solo exhibition at Gallery Fineart in Oslo, and her participation in group shows at the Norwegian National Museum of Photography, Preus Museum, and the National Museum in Gdansk. She published You Don’t Actually See the Shape of Anything in 2020, exploring themes at the intersection of art and science.
Driven by existential questions about reality, time, and identity, Kyllingmark’s work employs analogue photography techniques with multiple exposures on negative film, creating layered images that invite viewers to explore deeper perceptions of reality.
